OYC Meeting Minutes – 16/05/18
WELCOME

Samah started off the Meeting with Lightning Talks.
GMYCAGreater Manchester Youth Combined Authority More
Jess C., A representative for Oldham in GMYCAGreater Manchester Youth Combined Authority More, gave a lively presentation describing what GMYCAGreater Manchester Youth Combined Authority More is and how Youth Councillors could get involved.
PRIORITIES
Discussion started this meeting over what should OYCs priorities be for the next term of office. Taking in the ideas, more development will be done in the priorities session after this meeting.
CO-OPTING NEW MEMBERS
Due to the lack of representation from areas Royton, Shaw and Crompton and Failsworth, it was brought to the Youth Council the idea of asking the schools in the area for representative. Including an internal election, the idea was voted for.
SIGN LANGUAGE COURSE
A basic Sign Language Course could be happening for members of OYC
Oldham Youth Council More, details are to follow.
EVENTS AND TRIPS
Events and Trips were given out to Youth Council.
