Done something great? Done something special? Done something selflessly?

What do want a Chufty badge? Well you can have one!!!!

What is a Chufty badge?

It is recognition given to show that all young people can be amazing!! There are 7 Chufty badges in all to collect. Each has it own individual colour and letter, signifying a different aspect of how amazing young people are.

If you can collect all 6 you will receive a grand CHUFTY Badge!!!!!

Below are the colours and letters signifying each badge.

C – Charity
H – Helping
U – Unity
F – Fun
T – Triumph
Y – Youth Ambassador

So how do you get a Chufty Badge?

Pink – Charity: to get this badge you have to evidence a charitable contribution. This could be fundraising, volunteering, donations, giving something back to your community.

Green – Helping: to get this badge activities must be any form of helping someone. This can be making a task/activity easier or possible for someone to do by offering them your services or resources. It could also be the improving of a situation or problem and be of benefit to others.

Red – Unity: to get this badge requires doing something that brings your community together – this may be organising or taking part in a project or event that involves some kind of community cohesion.

Yellow – Fun: having fun is often the best way to increase your self-esteem and confidence. Have you done something fun for yourself or someone else that made you/them feel good about yourself/themselves. Did you create a flashmob to raise awareness about an issue? Did you organise a football match against local Police officers? You have… ….then get nominating.

Blue – Triumph: for triumph tell us about something you have overcome – going above and beyond. This could be a Personal triumph or achievement – E.g. climbing a mountain, got over a fear, quit smoking.

Orange – Youth Ambassador: for the youth ambassador chufty badge you have to put a minimum of 14 hours work taking part in an activity that shows young people in a positive light and raises their perception in the community or media. Has what you have done challenged the ‘yob’ stereotype portrayed in the media? Could the person being nominated be seen as a role model to other young people

To get your hands on a Chufty Badge you must complete the nomination from (click here). You can nominate yourself as well as nominating other people, we will also accept nominations for groups. When you have submitted your nomination Oldham Central Youth Team will be in touch to verify the nomination and ask for evidence. This evidence will be used on this blog to promote the campaign and a consent form will be sent to the nominee(s). The evidence can be in the form of any media such as videos, pictures, newspaper clippings, websites or similar.

The Grand CHUFTY BADGE

Once you have collected all 6 coloured badges tweet us, email us, facebook us or just come and see us with all your chufty badges and we will give you the Grand CHUFTY BADGE!

PLEASE NOTE SOME ACTIVITIES MAY TICK MORE THAN ONE COLOUR BOX, HOWEVER, ONLY ONE BADGE WILL BE AWARDED FOR EACH NOMINATION. PLEASE READ THE EXPLANATIONS AND PICK THE BEST BADGE FOR YOUR NOMINATION
