Adopt a Monkey
Oldham Youth Council once had a campaign called purple monkey washing machine (check out the I love Me page for more info). Back then we drafted in our friends, the purple sock monkeys, to help get our point across. After all their hard work we now think they deserve some R&R living with an amazing Youth Councillor. If you are interested in adopting one of monkeys check out the descriptions below the photos then fill out the form below. Once you adopt a monkey we would like you to send us tweet/insta updates of where they have been and what they have been up to.

- Violet loves all things sparkly and her passion is making and modelling her own jewellery. Her favourite colour is yellow and loves sunflowers.

- Tizzy enjoys being creative and you’ll never see her without a pen in her hand!

- Siri is our media fanatic. From movie making to vlogging – he will help document your life.

- Raffles’ hobbies include stand up comedy and being a jokester. He’s even won an award recently! He will keep you laughing from morning to night.

- Purplush is a fun loving monkey who always has loads of energy. She loves cake, ice-cream and playing in the park.

- Baby Pickles is our youngest monkey. He has nearly learnt the whole alphabet!

- Periwinkle is a lovely character. She loves being cheeky monkey and is lots of fun to be around.

- Fidget has trained as a first aider and takes his responsibility very seriously. If you like camping or need a friend who puts health and safety first adopt Fidget.

- Lavendar loves Oldham. Never seen without her camera she loves taking pictures of nature and clouds.

- Lilac is a fun, lively monkey. Brought up in the Urban town of Oldham, Lilac loves the night life .

- Lolo is our beauty queen. She is guaranteed to ensure all your beauty needs are met. If you love to be pampered, Lolo is the monkey for you.

- I’m Mojo Jojo and I absolutely love history. I adore coming down to Youth Council and looking through their great book collection!

- Eric loves travelling and his favourite place is South Asia. He is all about meditation and feeling at peace.

- Crystal is a Star. Wars have broken out to be friends with this caring monkey. Adopt Crystal and the force will always be with you.

- Clyde is our striped friend who has a passion for all things Sesame Street. He is also personal friend of Kermit the Frog.

- Charlie is a keen sports-monkey and a great friend. He loves to swim and run marathons but most of all he loves flying on eagle’s backs.

- Chunk is from South America and a pretty cool monkey and loves to make friends. Plus he knows the best place to find bananas

- Yo my neam’s Biggie Smalls and I’m a top quality DJ with the best music taste. I would keep you entertained all day!

- Bonzo is our resident adrenaline junkie. He loves anything that involves adventure.

- Buttons loves to travel and collect things on his travels including badges. He loves a cuddle but be careful of those pins!!
