Priority Theme – Health

Oldham Youth Council has held Health as one of its main priorities since 2016, to improve the health and wellbeing of Oldham’s young people, we have done the following things:
Consulted with the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to improve health services for young people in Oldham.
The Oldham Youth Council is responsible for allocating grants to organisations in Oldham who have outlined projects that met our priority of improving and increasing the places for young people to go so that they can lead a healthy and active life.
Oldham Youth Council has sat on the Expert Panel Board and supported a project called MH2K, whose aims are to consult with young people about mental health. The MH2K project was made up of a group of diverse young people from Oldham called Young Citizen Researchers, the group selected five main priorities to address through the pilot scheme, these were;
