One young person got the chance to visit SCIE which is Social Care Institute for Excellence in London. We travelled down by train and underground, the purpose of the visit was for the young person to be part of a young people’s panel for contributing towards the What Works Centre.
There were different workshops so one was art, photography and discussions, young person was given the choice to portray their message in regards to particular issue through these different mediums.
Young person chose the first workshop to take part in discussions around the first half of the session and then chose to partner up with another young person and do photography for the second half of the session. Young person enjoyed exploring London to take photographs to then put together and annotate what the different pictures represented and meant to them.
It was a really great day and young person gave great input in to the current work that’s going on around the What Works Centre.
