CICC Voice Meeting Minutes 21.02.18
Introductions
Bernie O Brien and Kirsty back again to develop the welcome to care pack with young people. Young people discussed having an older and younger booklet. Young people discussed about being aware of the area they move in to and what activities are available. Young people suggested different colour themes for different ages – so easily able to recognise. Young people asked about who explained being in care and what certain new words meant to gain an understanding of who explained things. Kirsty to do mock up box and then to come and show young people in two weeks.
Youth voice family – Young people told about Oldham Youth Council and Barrier Breakers. Focusing on what skills and knowledge young people would want – ALL YP interested :
- R & S training
- Public speaking and confidence
- Creative consultation
- LGBTQ awareness
- Young voices volunteering
- Total respect – certain elements
- Super resi
IMPORTANT DATES for young people to remember future guests to come to meetings.
