CICC Young Voices Photography Project
The Children in Care Council organised a 2 day workshop for the Young Voices group as part of a recruitment opportunity for the group. The Young Voices group is part of Children in Care Council and is for young people aged 7 to 12 years of age.
The project was based around role models using photography as the finished medium.
Young people used creative media to explore what a role model is. They looked at a role model who is known to them and also chose their own celebrity role model. This then helped towards the photographic workshop that took place the following week.
The second part of the workshop young people got the opportunity to meet a professional photographer who recreated their chosen celebrity role model picture with them at various times during the day. Young people also undertook a creative arts workshop and completed their accredited AQA award units.
