It is with great pleasure that we can announce that the Kerrching – Youth Opportunity Fund awards are back for 2018. The application form is now live and can be downloaded by clicking this button
What It Is:
Kerrching – Youth Opportunity Fund aims to provide opportunities for young people in their leisure time that will improve positive outcomes for children and young people living in Oldham.
The fund is for activities specifically for children and young people aged 8-19 (or up to age 25 if the young people have additional needs). It is managed by young people from Oldham Youth Council, who will be making decisions about the allocation of funds.
We have the opportunity to award grants to youth and community groups within Oldham in the form of the Kerrching Grants. We are offering a maximum of £5000 to groups in order to enhance ‘Things to Do and Places to Go’. We are particularly looking for projects that have a direct impact on improving health outcomes for young people.
We are inviting nominations from all types of non-profit organisations who currently offer activities and opportunities for positive engagement with young people in Oldham.
Aims and Priorities of the Funding:
The main aim of the funding is to increase and improve things to do and places to go for young people during their leisure time within Oldham.
